Eating Healthy on a Budget

Registered Dietician Holly Scherer from University of Michigan has a few tips for eating healthy when you are short on cash:
- make your own coffee (rather than buying it out - I have an even better idea for 9-5 types - drink the free coffee provided at many workplaces)
- buy fruits and vegetables that are in season
- skip the drive through window
- replace meat, which is expensive, with protein sources like beans or eggs, which are cheaper
